Since 1991 Nick & Vicki Sher’s passion has been to produce delicious Wagyu beef.
As pioneers of the Wagyu industry in Australia, their family owned company Beefcorp Australia, is based at Ballan in central Victoria and breeds Fullblood & Crossbred Wagyu on their Victorian farms. The cattle are finished on a special ration at their state of the art feedlot farm “Palm Grove” in Finley , Sth NSW.
Together with their son Jack, the family manages all stages of production from paddock to plate, under the highest standards of animal husbandry & sustainable farming practices.
Sher Wagyu beef is exported to over 15 countries and is renowned around the world by leading chefs & discerning diners.
All Sher Wagyu Fullblood cattle can be traced back to their Japanese ancestors. Fullblood bulls of the finest Wagyu bloodlines are used to produce their Crossbred cattle. In 1996 Nick Sher pioneered in Australia the breeding of Wagyu x Holstein, the traditional Japanese F1, which produces outstanding beef over a range of marble scores. Higher percentage Wagyu Crossbred (F2 & F3) are also produced.
Sher Wagyu beef is marketed as Sher Black in Japan, as Japanese regulations restrict the use of the word wagyu to beef produced in Japan.
